June graduated from Duke University in 2010 with a B.A. in art history and a B.S. in biology. Prior to law school, she worked for two years in China as a television reporter and talk show host, and as overseas communications consultant for an art museum. This past summer, June interned at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. At school, she is involved with the Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts and the Workers' Rights Student Coalition. In her spare time, June paints, dances, and tries to experience New York (restaurants, museums, ballets, operas and musicals) as much as possible.
Kathryn Roulett - Outreach Chair
Originally from Garden City, N.Y., Kathryn is currently a 2L at Columbia Law School. She graduated from Boston College in 2012 with a B.A. in Psychology and History. During college, she worked as a legal intern for the Nassau County District Attorney's Office, as well as the financial information provider S&P Capital IQ. This past summer, Kathryn was a summer associate at the commercial litigation firm Miller & Wrubel PC. In addition to serving as Outreach Chair for CLWA, Kathryn is a staff member on the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law. Outside of school, she enjoys running, animated films, fashion, and exploring New York City.
Allegra Noonan - Myra Bradwell Chair
Allegra Noonan is originally from Weston, Connecticut and graduated from Vanderbilt University in fall of 2011, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. This past summer she worked at a State’s Attorney’s Office in Connecticut. Other than being involved in CLWA, Allegra is also involved with the Society for Immigrant and Refugee Rights and The Columbia Journal of Transnational Law. In her free time she likes to run and work out, snowboard in the winters, and get downtown when possible.
Katherine Onyshko - Alumnae Chair
A proud Chicagoan, Katherine found her way to NYC when she attended NYU for undergraduate. After a great few years, she decided to leave the busy concrete jungle for sweltering sub-Saharan West Africa. Katherine served as a Small Enterprise Development volunteer for two years in the Peace Corps helping grow local businesses, in addition to creating a girls’ development summer camp. Katherine moved back to New York to be a paralegal for a year then decided came up to Morningside Heights for law school. This year Katherine will continue working with international law on the Journal of Transnational Law. Aside from CLWA, Katherine loves eating and chitchatting with friends
Polly Silverman - Fundraising Chair
Polly is a member of the 2L class at Columbia Law School. Originally from Cranbury, New Jersey, she moved to New York to attend Columbia College, from which she graduated with a B.A. in mathematics. Prior to attending law school, Polly worked at BlackRock as an analyst in the risk management division. This past summer, she worked in the São Paulo office of Demarest. In addition to her involvement with CLWA, Polly is a staff member of the Journal of Environmental Law, a board member of the Environmental Law Society and the Student Outreach Chair of the American Constitution Society. Polly likes New York bagels, dinners with friends, and going to her parents’ to visit her dogs.
Caitlyn Carpenter - Reading Group Chair
Originally from Boston, MA, Caitlyn graduated from Northwestern University in 2010 with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to attending law school, Caitlyn worked as a litigation paralegal at Ropes and Gray in Boston. This past summer, Caitlyn was an intern at Lawyers for Children in New York City. Aside from CLWA, Caitlyn is also involved with the High School Law Institute, the Harlem Tutorial Project, and the Human Rights Law Review. Outside of school, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and reading fiction.
Anna Shifflet - Career Chair
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Anna graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English Literature. This past summer, Anna was a corporate summer associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in a mergers & acquisitions group. In addition to serving as CLWA Career Chair, Anna is a staff editor for the Columbia Law Review and a member of the Entertainment, Arts, and Sports Law Society. In her free time she enjoys getting lost in Central Park, reading novels, and traveling.
Clara Kang Wee - Academic Chair
Originally from Orange County, CA, Clara graduated from Wellesley College in 2009 with a B.A. in Political Science. Prior to law school, she worked as a management consultant for three years. This past summer, Clara was a summer associate at Skadden Arps in New York. In addition to being the CLWA Academic Chair, she is also serving as Moot Court editor and VP of Finance for the California Society. In her free time, she enjoys doing bikram yoga, taking walks and watching the Food Network.
Nell Ethridge - Treasurer
Born and raised in New York City, Nell graduated from Colgate University in 2012, with a B.A. in Psychology and Political Science. In addition to serving as CLWA's Treasurer, Nell is the Vice President of Membership for PILF and is a 2L staff member on the Columbia Journal of Gender and Law. During her 1L summer, Nell worked as a legal intern for the New York City Department of Investigation. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, watching Netflix and rooting for the New York Giants.
Kathleen Farley - Online Manager
Kathleen graduated from Dartmouth College in 2010 with a B.A. in Government. Prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal in the environmentla practice group at Cravath, Swaine & Moore. In addition to her position in CLWA, Kathleen is a staff editor for the Columbia Human Rights Law Review and the head writer for the Columbia Law Revue's variety show. Shespent this past summer as an intern for the Honorable Allyne Ross of the Eastern District of New York. Outside of school, Kathleen enjoys playing tennis and scoping out coffee shops for the perfect demitasse. She is on a continuing mission to ride every roller coaster in the United States.
