Mentoring Program
CLWA is committed to assisting current members navigate law school and the legal profession beyond law school. To that end, we have established a successful mentoring program where we match students to students and students to alumnae. The mentoring relationship can be as formal or informal as you would like. Participants in the program can develop relationships through informal meetings, lunches, emails, or phone conversations.
We hope that by connecting students with practicing attorneys, we may encourage the development of a professional and personal relationship with a female attorney that is beneficial to both parties. Mentors may provide insight from their own experiences and give guidance and advice on life after law school. Our aim is to help facilitate a connection to someone in practice with whom you may discuss your career plans, worries about work/family, issues/fears about gender and law firm culture, areas of practice, lifestyle issues - whatever.
